Azerbaijan to pay for Turkish rails

Construction of another railway line from Azerbaijan to Kars (turkey) will cost $1 billion, head of the Azerbaijani Railways Gurban Nazirov said today.

The line will be about 240 km long (Ordubad-Sederek), as part of infrastructure in Nakhchivan. The Azerbaijani Transportation Ministry has already received the technical inquiry and it will be presented to turkey to design the railway line.

Carriages will be modernized for about $700 million.
