North Caucasus presidential envoy promises punishment for journalist killers

Alexander Khloponin, Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District, said that murderers of journalist Kazbek Gekkiyev of Kabardino-Balkaria. He believes that the murder was an attempt to gain attention, Yuga.ru reports.

Khloponin said that it was a war they will never win and will only result in all militants eliminated.

The presidential envoy expressed condolences to the journalist’s relatives and reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin was controlling the investigation and had specialists of the central office of the Russian Investigative Committee on the case.

Khloponin expressed respect to journalists working in the North Caucasus.
