Electricity supply in Stavropol territory restored

Over 3000 people were left without electricity after a hurricane, RIA Novosti reports, citing the head of work with the state authorities, social organizations and media of ‘MRSK of the Northern Caucasus’ – ‘Stavropolenergo’, Alexey Koloskov.
The weather conditions in the region are still bad, Koloskov said. He said 13 electricity substations were cut off after trees fell on the lines due to the wind. There were 60 energy line cuts. 2 groups were working on repairing the lines.
Meanwhile, locals are left without gas, 20 houses have roof damage. A local retirement home has had its roof totally destroyed. Repairing the roof will require 3.6 million rubles.
The ‘Interregional distribution network company of the Northern Caucasus’ supplies Dagestan, Ingushetia, North Ossetia-Alaniya, Stavropol Territory, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia with energy. It is also authorized as an executive agency of “ ‘Kabbalenergo’, Karachay-Cherkessenergo’, Kalmenenergo’, ‘Sevkavenergo’, ‘Ingushenergo’, ‘Dagestani energy distribution company’ and ‘Nurenergo’ (Chechnya). ‘Holding MRSK’ has 58.25% of the shares of ‘MRSK North Caucasus’.
