Ataturk memorial taken down in Istanbul

The monument of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk on the Kadikoy Square in Istanbul will be taken down and replaced by a large cultural center.

The Kadikoy District is considered one of the oldest in the Asian side of the city. The Council of Chalcedon was held there.
