At present, Iran is experiencing the greatest pressure from
the West on three sides: military, economic and cyber attacks.
This statement was made by the head of the Iranian organization
"Non-operational Defense", one of the commanders of the IRGC
(Revolutionary Guards), Gholam Reza Jalali.
In addition, the commander noted that sanctions against Iran have
taken the form of economic warfare, Mehr reports.
Speaking of cyber threats, Jalali said that at the present time in
cyberspace Iran has vulnerabilities associated with the lack of
coordination between various departments and agencies of the country.
In this regard, the head of "Non-operational Defense" called on the
Majlis to take this into account when deciding on the reorganization
of the government.
Earlier, the Iranian authorities decided to establish a
Ministry of Infrastructure through the merger of the Ministry of
Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Roads and Urban
Development and another agency, which has so far not been defined.
According to the Fifth Five-Year Development Plan (2010-2015), the
Iranian government is obliged to reduce the number of ministries from
21 to 17 to increase the efficiency of public administration.
