CIS Council of Defense Ministers concludes session

The CIS Council of Defense Ministers has concluded another session in Moscow, rounded up 2012 and discussed plans for 2013, RIA Novosti reports.

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu confirmed plans to develop military cooperation. 26 topics were discussed.

They talked about the action plan for joint missile defenses of the CIS in 2013 and assignations for their development in 2014. Kazakhstan had the Clear Sky anti-missile drills in October.

Russia will host the Combat Commonwealth-2013 drills at the Ashuluk Range to boost formation of common information space, modernize management and execution of joint military actions.

Attendants of the council passed a plan for cooperation of the Joint System for Control and Radiation, Chemical and Biological Evaluation, discussed organization and execution of joint activities and staff training. A program for meteorological support modernization was passed.
