North Korea launches missile
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaUN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has criticized missile tests of North Korea and called them a provocative act against peace and stability in the region, RIA Novosti reports.
Spokesman of the US National Security Council Tommy Vietor said that it was a violation of the non-proliferation regime, UN resolutions and a threat to peace.
British Foreign Secretary William Hague threatened to summon the North Korean ambassador to the Foreign Office.
Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Osamu Fujimura says that the launch threatens peace and stability. He noted that none of the missiles parts fell in Japan. The first one fell 200km west of the Korean Peninsula, the second 250-300km south-west in the East China Sea, third 300km east of the Philippines in the Pacific Ocean.
South Korea called it a violation of resolutions 1974 and 1718 of the UNSC.
