Adam Sieminski, Chief of the US Energy Information Administration, noted the boost in oil extract in the last 150 years. He said that oil extraction will increase 760,000 barrels daily, the highest increase since 1959, Reuters reports.

Oil extraction is expected to increase by 13% to 6.4 million barrels daily, by 700,000 daily more in 2013 to 7.1 million daily, RIA Novosti reports.

ExxonMobil said that US exports of energy resources in 2025 will exceed imports, due to increased extraction in the country’s southern regions.
