Galina Vishnevskaya buried near Rostropovich at Novodevichye cemetery

Famous Russian opera singer and public figure Galina Vishnevskaya was buried near the grave of her late husband, musician Mstislav Rostropovich, at the Moscow Novodevichye cemetery.

Hundreds of people came to the memorial service despite cold and windy weather.

The widow of the first Russian president Boris Yeltsin, Naina Yeltsina, attended the memorial service for Vishnevskaya.
