Russian patriarch says Christians and Muslims are allies

Russian Patriarch Kirill says Christians and Muslims are allies nowadays. The patriarch has recently met with Muslim spiritual leaders.

As the result of the meeting the parties signed a joint declaration that calls for interethnic and interreligious peace.

"Morals values and traditions of ancestors have always allowed to maintain peace and mutuial well-being," the declaration reads.
