Kabardino-Balkarian leader wants United Russia to prevent ethnic tensions

Kabardino-Balkarian Leader Arsen Kanokov urged members of the United Russia Party at the 22nd conference of the party’s regional branch to prevent tensions in the North Caucasian Federal District, keeping balance and consolidating the population, Interfax-South reports.

He reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin had called for prevention of inter-ethnic and religious tensions. Kanokov proposed passing a program to encourage tolerance.
