Rogozin criticizes former leadership of Ministry of Defense
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRussian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has criticized the policy
of the former leadership of the Defense Ministry for giving priority
to Western arms to the detriment of domestic production in an
interview to "Voennyi Parad".
"You cannot buy Italian Iveco armored jeeps, change their bumpers and
call them "Rys", Rogozin said.
"Therefore, the Military Industrial Commission had to act in defense
of the Russian defense industry trying to solve simultaneously two major
problems: the launch of production of modern weapons and technology
upgrade of the production itself," the deputy head of government said.
Today Russian President Vladimir Putin called on all members of the
military-technical cooperation to be proactive and actively promote
Russian products on world markets.
