Baku religious figure says US Freedom House biased

Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazadeh has accused Freedom House of prejudice when rating political and social affairs in Azerbaijan at the first forum entitled "State and Religion: Strengthening Tolerance" in Baku today, Trend reports.

The religious official reminded that Azerbaijan was hoping for a peaceful way of settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. But Freedom House did nothing to condemn states responsible for the Khojaly Genocide, he alleged.

Freedom House has recently published a report mentioning lack of freedom of press and partial freedom in the Internet.
