RIA Rating and Moskovskiye Novosti publish rating of living standards

RIA Rating and Moskovskiye Novosti have published a rating of living standards in Russia, based on 64 criteria in 11 groups. Analyses were made in 82 regions, missing Chechnya.

The most prosperous areas are located in the line of 1500km from Sochi to Kuban, through Don, Centralno-Chernozyomsky District and Moscow Agglomeration to Nizhny Novgorod. It includes three poles of high living standards: Sochi-Lipetsk in the south (including Krasnodar, Rostov, Voronezh, Belgorod, Kursk), Nizhny Novgorod in the north-east and Moscow and its region with neighbour regions in the middle.

Saint-Petersburg, Tatarstan and Yugra with Tyumen are three other prosperous areas.

Outsiders of the rating lie on the line along the southern border, along the line of Gorno-Altaysk – Vladivostok, including Tuva, Zabaykalye with Buryatia and southern areas of the Far East, excluding the Khabarovsk Territory.

The north Caucasus is one of the lowest in the rating. Ingushetia takes the 82nd position in the list, Dagestan is 71st, Stavropol Territory is 35th. Ingushetia has the lowest rate of economic development, which is 1.7 points, North Ossetia has 12.5 points, Stavropol Territory has 38.8 points, Moscow Region has 70 points.

Kabardino-Balkaria has the second best environmental and climate conditions, Ingushetia 3rd, Stavropol Territory 11th.

Moscow got 39.7 points for security, Dagestan got 36.6 points, Kabardino-Balkaria got 34.1 points.

Ingushetia has the worst office of functionary and standards of living. It has 275 functionaries per 100,000 people. It has the lowest wages for functionaries.

The Krasnodar Territory and the Rostov Region are the leaders in the Southern Federal District. Kuban is the fifth between Tatarstan and the Belgorod Region. It has the third position for business initiative, fourth for housing. Kuban is 59th for satisfactory with life.

Adygeya is the fourth among southern regions, five points behind the Volgograd Region.
