Armavia owner says company owes nothing for SSJ 100

Owner of Armavia, Armenian national air company, Mikhail Bagdasarov said that Sukhoi Superjet 100 had been worth $20 million, $16 million had been paid for it. But the plane was returned before the remaining $4 million were paid.

Bagdasarov said that the Sukhoi Company wanted $1 million from Armavia to free the jet from encumbrance. The official noted that the company had numerous losses due to constant need to repair the jet.

He added that the company was not planning to start exploitation of the SSJ 100 again.
