Russia will not form national territories against republics’ will

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed doubts about territorial formation according to their administrative borders like it had been done in the Russian Empire with no account of their ethnic peculiarities.

Putin emphasized that no territorial changes will be made without opinion of republics. Although, he called the tendency of expanding regions objective and necessary to resolve socio-economic problems.
