Putin has no solution to relations with Georgia

Russian President Vladimir Putin told a journalist of Rustavi-2 that normalization of relations with Georgia was at a stalemate because recognition of independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia could not be nullified.

He explained that President Mikheil Saakashvili was the cause of the stalemate. Putin noted that he had no solution to the situation. Nonetheless, the Russian leader mentioned positive signals in normalization of ties with Georgia, a special representative of Georgia was appointed to have negotiations with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin, Putin added.
