Stalin’s monument to be restored at Georgia’s Zemo Alvani

The monument of Joseph Stalin in Zemo Alvani of the Akhmetsky District of Georgia will be restored. People plan to celebrate the event at 12 pm.

A memorial for victims of the Great Patriotic War will be opened as well.

Stalin’s monument was destroyed by the United National Movement of President Mikheil Saakashvili on June 16, 2011. Georgian Dream started restoration of the monument after winning the parliamentary polls in October.
