Azerbaijan says referendum on Karabakh status will be countrywide

A referendum determining the status of Nagorno-Karabakh within Azerbaijan should involve all the citizens of Azerbaijan, that is, a referendum should be conducted throughout the country, Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov said, 1news.az reports.

 "According to the Constitution of Azerbaijan, when it comes to territorial integrity of the country, a referendum must held throughout the country and all its citizens should participate in the vote," the head of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan noted.
