Kazakh president announces mourning on December 27, 2012

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said that 7 crew members and 20 officers died in a plane crash near Shymkent. A special group was formed to investigate find the causes of the accident.

The president noted that there had been complicated weather conditions at Shymkent. The plane disappeared 40km away from the city.

Nazarbayev initiated mourning over the tragedy on December 27. The government and its structures were ordered to support families of the victims.
