Cuba to use Azerbaijani experience in drilling oil wells

Cuban Ambassador Omar Medina Quintero said today that Cuba wants to use Azerbaijani experience in petroleum developments.

Cuba extracts about 3 million tons of oil annually, Quintero notes. Cuba was planning to start searches for oil in the Mexican Gulf last summer. Repsol (Spain), Statoil (Norway), Petronas (Malaysia) and Pdvsa (Venezuela) are operating in Cuba.
