Azerbaijan makes tectonic map

The Geological Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan has made a tectonic map and systemized materials of the Greater Caucasus.

Research was made according to the DARIUS 2009-2013 project with assistance of the EU, South Caucasus, Middle East and Russia.

Director of the Geological Institute said that specialists of South Caucasus, Russia and Switzerland took part in making the map. The project was financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation within the framework of the SCORES program.
