Finance Ministry: Georgian economic activity related forecast accurate
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe forecast for tax revenues to the state budget of Georgia in 2012 was exceeded by 11.1 million lari ($ 1 = 1.66 lari). 6 311.1 million GEL in taxes was received by the state budget, which is 100.2 percent of the forecast figure, the Finance Ministry reports.
Compared to 2011, the actual receipt of tax revenue increased by 8.8 percent what in nominal terms is 509 million GEL. According to the financiers, the fact of forecasts for 2012 proving accurate by this time set the base of rather conservative government's macroeconomic forecasts and parameters of the state budget for 2013.
"These figures allow the government, the Ministry of Finance seamlessly deliver on promises to our citizens, finance all major infrastructure projects, attract investment in energy, agriculture, as well as other priority areas of the country," Georgian Finance Minister says.
