Georgia-Russia traffic closed

Traffic from Georgia to the Verkhny Lars Checkpoint was closed at the Gudauri-Kobi section for 11.00 am – 5.00 pm due to avalanche risks.

Heavy snowing was registered at the Rikoti and Nakerala Gorge in the western part of the country. The snow layer at the Rikoti Gorge reached 10-15 cm.

Traffic at the Gomborsky Gorge was halted for trailers and semi-trailers until the end of the day.
