Iran hosts conference to discuss status of Caspian Sea

Iran has opened a conference to discuss the legal status of the Caspian Sea in the Behshahr of the Mazandaran Province, Fars reports.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, head of the parliamentary commission for national security and foreign affairs Aladdin Borujerdi, governmental and parliamentary officials will attend the conference.
Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Russia signed an agreement on crossing of their borders on the Caspian Sea on May 14, 2003. Iran insists on equal shares of the sea. About 60-70% of the convention of the sea has been approved by Iran.
