Russian MIA: North Caucasus security officials must be proactive

The first deputy minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, Alexander Gorovoy, has urged security forces in the North Caucasus to communicate more with the locals in the fight against militants.

"People are tired of the attacks of militants. They are willing to assist law enforcement officers, who have to work harder to stay ahead," he said, speaking at a meeting with employees of the Interior Ministry and the government of the Republic of Ingushetia, RIA Novosti reports.
