Iran explores frontier areas for oil and gas

Iranian Petroleum Minister Rostam Qasemi said that about 2 billion barrels of oil had been discovered in areas bordering with Iraq and Turkmenistan last year. Large reserves were found in the north-eastern areas, Iran News reports.

A gas field adjacent to Turkmenistan was found in Khangiran.
