Azerbaijani terrorist group’s appeal rejected

A court in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku turned down an appeal on Friday from lawyers representing 26 people jailed on terrorist charges, Interfax Azerbaijan said.Members of the Brothers of the Forest gang were handed sentences of between two and fifteen years behind bars last November over a series of incidents, including an explosion at Baku’s Abu-Bekr mosque.
The members of the group are from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia.
