Dagestani leader stays in office

Heads of Dagestani cities and districts, leaders of public organizations and political parties have approved the idea of local MPs to organize an off-schedule session of parliament and pass a resolution to support Dagestani Leader Magomedsalam Magomedov, Interfax-South reports.

Vasily Kolesnikov, the federal inspector for Dagestan in the North Caucasian Federal District, read a letter of Magomedov, stating that he thanked MPs and everyone supporting him, Kommersant reports.

Magomedov is on a visit to Moscow to discuss the political and economic situation of the republic with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
