Russian Internet restrictions work in Armenia

Vimpelcom, owner of Armentel, has received two complaints from Armenian users about access denied to websites blacklisted in Russia, Izvestia reports.

Artyom Minayev, a PR manager for CIS states of Vimpelcom, said that clients encountering websites blocked by Russia use alternate access.

All Armenian Internet traffic runs from Russia through the territory of Georgia.
