The plane of South Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity is still  at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in Finland, Interfax informs.

The Falcon plane with Mr Kokoity on board had to land in Finland on its way to Venezuela because of a technical malfunction. Only one of the two motors was operational during the landing. None of the 15 passengers was injured.

Eduard Kokoity was on his way to pay his first official visits to Venezuela and Nicaragua after the countries recognised the sovereignty of South Ossetia.
