Heroin shipment confiscated in Astrakhan

27kg of heroin were confiscated on a Dushanbe-Moscow train at the Aksaraysky Checkpoint last night, RIA Novosti cites Irina Gafurova, a spokeswoman of the border guards of the Astrakhan Region.

The narcotics were found in a cache under the floor by a dog. They consisted of 17 half-liter plastic bottles.

The suspected carrier of the drugs was caught. He may get up to 20 years of prison.
