About 1300 convicts pardoned in Iran

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has pardoned 1298 convicts, marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, Imam Jafar Sadiq and the 34th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, IRIB reports.

Iranian Chief of Justice Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani had requested the amnesty.
