Georgia's Constitutional Court is now discussing the case started by the leaders of the Resistance Movement against the country's president, Mikheil Saakashvili.
The plaintiffs believe that Mikheil Saakashvili extended his term in office by nine months - from January 2013 to October 2013 - using constitutional amendments introduced in 2006. They demand that this decision should be pronounced illegal and that the president should be deposed.

The plaintiffs demanded earlier that court should discuss the case urgently.
