Georgian defense minister stresses on prevention of conflict escalation with Russia

Georgian Defense Minister Irakly Alasania said that the main goal is to prevent escalation of tensions with Russia by following the pragmatic course of Prime Minister bidzina Ivanishvili, BBC reports.

Relations with Russia should begin with trade and cultural cooperation. Russia will change its political view on Georgia’s strive to join NATO and the EU and territorial unity, the minister says.
