Head of the Border Guard Academy of Kazakhstan attempted suicide

The head of the Border Guard Academy of Kazakhstan's National

Security Committee (KNB) , Major General Talgat Eset, today tried to

commit suicide. He shot himself while in his office.

"According to preliminary reports, Maj. Gen. Eset was found in his

room with a gunshot wound. Currently Eset is in a military hospital.

His condition is not known yet," RIA Novosti reports, referring to a

source in the law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan.
