France to start Maestral helicopter carrier construction for Russia

France will start construction of the first Maestral helicopter for Russia in Saint-Nazaire. Russia will purchased two such carriers for $1 billion 1.5 years ago.

One of them will be named "Vladivostok" and will be completed in a year. The other one will be called "Sevastopol" and arrive in two years. Russia has a share of 20% in construction of the first carrier and 40% in the second. Decisions on other carriers were postponed until 2016.
