The first Russian-Georgian winter school of journalism organized by
the Russian center for political analysis "North-South" and the
non-commercial partnership "Caucasian cooperation" started its work
today in Tbilisi. Journalists from the leading Russian news agencies
such as RIA Novosti, radio "Mayak", the magazine "Russian
Reporter", "Moscow News" and the information agency "Vestnik Kavkaza"
will hold master classes for Georgian colleagues.

The school will also feature lectures on the current trends and prospects
of the regional mass media by Georgian experts and representatives of
MGIMO and Moscow State University. They will present their vision of
the future of the South Caucasus at a round-table discussion "The South
Caucasus 2020: promising scenario of the region's development."

Winners of an essay contest among journalists will be able to attend
the Regional School for Young Journalists of the South Caucasus in
Sochi at the end of 2013.
