Georgian Education Minister appointed as Deputy PM

A decree appointing Georgian Minister of Education and Science Giorgi Margvelashvili as Deputy Prime Minister has been signed, Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili's office reported today, says Trend.

The position of Deputy Prime Minister became vacant after the Prime Minister removed Defense Minister Irakli Alasania from this post.

Margvelashvili said that Prime Minister will personally determine his functions.
