European Commission needs Southern Gas Corridor

The European Commission in interested in opening of the Southern Gas Corridor to connect European markets with the largest gas fields of the Caspian Sea and the Middle East, Trend reports.

The pipeline should be fit for increase of its capacity to transport higher gas volumes. The EU needs clear legal norms for the pipeline.

The choice between Nabucco West and TAP will be made in June 2013.
