Presidential candidate steps down in Armenia
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaArmenian presidential candidate Aram Arutyunyan has stepped down after going on hunger strike.
Arutyunyan said he had protested against the unfree and unfair character of the elections.
He also said that other candidates should have done the same to leave President Serzh Sarsgyan alone on the ballot. That would demonstrate that there is no alternative and no free competition during these polls, he explained.
