Number of AIDS cases increases in Georgia

The number of children infected with AIDS has dramatically increased in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Georgia Online reports, citing UN research data.
According to the UNICEF report, the reason is drug addiction and prostitution, which are widely spread in the region. 
The number of AIDS cases in Russia increased by 8%, in Georgia by 10% and by 22% in Belarus. In general since 2006 the rise has been 700%.
