Philippov becomes head of Higher Attestation Commission of Russia

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has appointed Vladimir Philippov, President of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia and former Education Minister, as the head of the Higher Attestation Commission.

Philippov was born in Uryupinsk, Volgograd Region, on April 15, 1951. He is an academician of the Russian Education Academy, he was the Education Minister in 1998-2004, a PhD for Physics and Mathematics, a professor. He graduated at the PFUR.
