Kavkaz Center blog recognized as extremist

The Chechen Court has recognized the Kavkaz Center blog a source of extremism. The blog is a mirror of the Kavkaz Center website, recognized as extremist in September 2012.

The UNSC put the Kavkaz Center portal on the list of sanctions in July 2011. The Russian Foreign Ministry demanded an additional ban on the website in December 2011 and extradition of Eldar Khamzin, a member of the Hizb ut-Tahrir group.

The court's decision and the blog's materials will be sent to the Russian Justice Ministry to ban it.
