Half of grain fields harvested in Kabardino-Balkaria

50.6 thousand hectares (49%) of grain and leguminous fields in Kabardino-Balkaria had been harvested by July 20th, Yuga.ru reports.

According to the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Kabardino-Balkaria, there was no drought, unlike on the majority of Russian territory. The harvest is going according to schedule.

The barley and winter wheat yield is 33 dt/ha, which is higher than last year. 97% of the barley, 12.2 thousand hectares, have been harvested. The gross harvest is 36.8 thousand tons with a yield of 30 dt/ha. 32.2 thousand ha of winter wheat (48%) was harvested. 117 tons of grain was threshed. Average yield is 36 dt/ha.

The gross harvest of 5,000 ha of barley (33% of harvested territory) is12 thousand tons. The yield of spring barley is 24 dt/ha.
