Azerbaijan calls exploitation of Khojaly Airport illegal

Azay Guliyev, a member of the Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation to the OSCE PA, said that aerospace over Nagorno-Karabakh belonged to Azerbaijan and Armenia’s exploitation of the Khojaly Airport without permission was illegal.

Exploitation of the airport is a violation of Chicago Convention on Civil Aviation and an obstacle to settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The ICAO and the ECAC support Azerbaijan’s position in the issue.
