The Azerbaijani parliament has passed amendments to the law on freedom of religion. The amendments say that religious literature will have special marks, Trend reports.
Religious structures, individuals and legal bodies will be allowed to distribute their literature at specialized areas after getting marks.
MP Gudrat Gasanguliyev says that it will protect national security of Azerbaijan.
MP Zahid Orudzh believes that the norm will not help stop extremism in any way, because the marks cannot be put on Internet publications. Prevention of extremism needs active religious policy, Orudzh says.
