Azerbaijan`s President receives secretary of Iranian Supreme National Security Council

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received an Iranian delegation led by secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Saeed Jalili.
President Ilham Aliyev praised successful development of historical, cultural and religious relations between the two countries and peoples. The Head of State added Azerbaijan-Iran relationship covers all directions. President Ilham Aliyev pointed out development of bilateral security cooperation was of special importance, stressing the necessity of holding regular consultations in this sphere.
The Head of State also underscored the importance of reciprocal visits at various levels in expansion of Azerbaijan-Iran relations. The President expressed confidence that Saeed Jalili`s visit to Azerbaijan would be an important step for strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
