Armenian parliamentary speaker calls upon Hovhannisyan to surrender

Armenian parliamentary speaker Ovik Obramyan has called upon presidential candidate Raffi Hovhannisyan, who claims he won the elections despite official results declaring incumbent President Serzh Sarsgyan the winner, to surrender and recognize Sargsyan's victory.

"I believe that no one is interested in continuing rallies. Neither the state, nor the people," the speaker said.

He said calls for a re-election are fruitless.
