Rezaee to run for president of Iran

Mohsen Rezaee, Secretary of the Iranian Expediency Discernment Council, will run for president and needs the approval of the Council of Guardians.

He participated in the presidential polls of 2009 and was the third. He will focus on economics in his campaign.

Iranian former Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki expressed readiness to participate in the elections, as stated on his website last week.

Iran will hold the 11th presidential polls on June 14.
